encompass all facets including theory, empirical
research, and the development of analytical tools for
solving practical business problems.
The PhD program in Finance
at Texas Tech University prepares doctoral
students to become highly
proficient in all of these facets within his/her area of
specialization. Students in the program are acquainted
with advanced training in theory and research methods,
preparing them to make significant contributions to
academic research. The program's primary objective is to
train doctoral students to be academic scholars and for
