RESUME-
Attach
a current resume indicating your employment and education
history. Include academic, military, extracurricular,
community activities, honors, scholarships received,
professional organizations, articles or books published,
papers presented, research or any other creative work.
LETTERS
OF RECOMMENDATION- All
applicants are required to submit three letters of
recommendation. It is preferred that each recommender mails
the letter of recommendation directly.

The following is the checklist for The Office of Graduate
Admissions:
Steps
for Admission to a Master's or Doctoral Degree Program
1. Complete
an admissions application at least three months before the
intended date of enrollment.
To be considered for fellowships, please have all
materials into the Graduate School by February 1.
2.
A
$50 non-refundable application fee ($60 International
Students) is required of
all Texas Tech graduate applicants.
Full
time Texas Tech employees, their spouses, and dependents under
age 25 may be exempted after completing the fee waiver form
available in the Office of Graduate Admissions.
3. Provide
official transcripts of all previous college level
study and be in good standing at all institutions attended.
4. Provide
official GMAT score report.
Score reports or additional information about the GMAT
must be sent directly from GMAT Customer Service,
www.mba.com. All
credentials are kept by Texas Tech University.
5. Contact
the graduate advisor in the department to which application is
being made. Additional
tests, departmental applications, and/or recommendation
letters may be required.
Departments may have specific deadlines. Please check with them for specific information.
Some of this information may be available through
Graduate School website links.
6. If
you are an Immigrant Permanent Resident, you must provide a
copy of the front and back of your green card, as well as an
Oath of Residency if you are claiming Texas residency for
tuition purposes. (The
Oath of Residency Form will be provided upon your request.)
Applicants
who cannot provide all documents required for admission to a
degree program by the time of planned initial enrollment may
be considered for nondegree admission.
APPLICATION
DEADLINES-
Applications may be made for the Fall, Spring, or Summer
terms, with the exception of Finance, which accepts
applications for Fall only. All students are advised to complete their applications
by March 1 for the fall semester; by September 1 for the spring
semester; and by February 1 for the summer. Applications will
be accepted after the deadline; however, the University cannot
guarantee that late applicants will receive an admission
decision in time to make the necessary visa and travel
arrangements for the semester they wish to enter.
INTERVIEWS-
Individual departments may
require a personal interview prior to the admission decision.
This may be an on-campus visit or over the phone.
Appointments can be made for applicants to meet
graduate faculty members and current doctoral students, or to
attend class. Please contact the Rawls College of Business
Graduate Services Center in advance for making these
arrangements.
NOTIFICATION
OF ADMISSIONS DECISION- Applicants
are notified on the decision regarding their admission
generally within eight weeks of receipt of all application
materials. International applicants whose applications are
completed by the above deadlines should receive a decision
regarding their admission within two months.
